
The Executive Director, COP Frank Adu-Poku (Rtd.) has indicated that cheap and negative publicity seems to drown the achievement the Office is making in tackling human trafficking, procurement fraud, financial crimes, money laundering, prohibited cyber activities, recovery of funds and confiscation of proceeds of crime to the State.

According to him, “the Office is doing well but has not gained the credit it deserves”.
Mr. Frank Adu-Poku said this at the Regional Directors and Unit Heads Conference held on Friday, 13th December, 2019 at the Executive Director’s Conference Room.
He then called on officers not to be deterred but rather be strengthened to make this country secured from organised crimes.
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Adu-Poku commended the effort of the Regional Directors and Unit Heads for their contribution in the fulfilment of the mandate of the Office. He also pleaded with the officers to live above reproach.
He further stated that Directors have a role to play in ensuring the effective beneficiary utilization of both physical and human resources. Adding that performance management is key in ensuring the anticipated equal work for equal pay.
Mr. Adu-Poku told the directors to ensure discipline in their various regional offices and units. He stated unequivocally that he would not hesitate to crack the whip on any undisciplined officer after disciplinary proceedings has found the officer culpable.
The Executive Director shared innovations and interventions for the ensuing year with officers. He indicated that it is aimed at being better at recovering proceeds of crime to the State.
