The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) marked its first International Women’s Day celebration with a grand durbar at the Head Office on Tuesday, 8th March, 2022.
About ninety (90) female Officers were appreciated for their courage and efforts as well as the positive gains in law enforcement.
The Executive Director, COP MYT Addo-Danquah speaking at the durbar, encouraged women not to underrate their capabilities and be assertive. She stated that women should prove themselves and should endeavour to excel at what they do, not only when given the opportunity.
According to her, “the top is very lonely, do not leave your friends behind, pull them along as you climb the ladder as women”. She added that women should not discriminate against each other but help each other to grow.
The Deputy Director Intelligence and Monitoring Madam Aba Jacqueline Opoku said that women have achieved so much since independence and are determined to achieve more. She added that women should stay focused, pay attention to details and must see every challenge as an opportunity to excel and for women all over the world, the sky is our limit.
Present was the Deputy Executive Director, Operations, Nana Antwi who encouraged all women to desist from underestimating themselves since they have so much potential that is yet to be explored.
COP MYT Addo-Danquah wished all women Happy International Women’s Day.
