EOCO picked up intelligence on the 18th of May 2017 that some persons were facilitating the trafficking of young girls to Jordan through the Kotoka International Airport. Acting on the intelligence, EOCO successfully apprehended seven (7) female victims and two (2) suspected traffickers with the assistance of Aviation Security and Ghana Immigration Service.
EOCO wishes to alert the general public about the prevalence and dangers of human trafficking of person’s especially unsuspecting young girls from Ghana to the Middle East.
The two arrested suspects who claimed to be self -styled businessmen are;
- Courage Boadi
- Michael Akantoganya
They have been handed over to the Human Trafficking Section of the C.I.D
