As part of efforts to strengthen collaboration with other Anti-Human Trafficking Organisations, the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with OUR Rescue Ghana – a Non-Governmental Organisation which works to support Law Enforcement Agencies in combating child sexual exploitation and Human Trafficking.
In a short ceremony held at the premises of the Economic and Organised Crime Office on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, the Executive Director, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah expressed her profound gratitude to OUR Rescue Ghana for their continuous support of EOCO. She added that she looks forward to stronger collaborations and operationalization of the MoU between the two Organisations.
On his part, Mr. Rich Morley, the Regional Director, Africa/Middle East of OUR Rescue Ghana, commended EOCO on the good work being done in combating crime and most especially, in the fight against human trafficking. He urged investigators to look beyond prosecution of crimes and explore further for other associated criminal activities. He underscored his Organisation’s readiness to partner with EOCO and to assist in training Officers in the fight against human trafficking.
The Executive Director, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah and SO Leo Anthony Siamah, Deputy Head of Legal Unit signed on behalf of EOCO while Mr. Rich Morley and Fred Akweter, signed on behalf of OUR Rescue Ghana.
Also present at the ceremony were: Madam Eva Dela Quist, Resource Manager and Perpetual Adu Dufi-Gyamfi, Outreach Coordinator from OUR Rescue Ghana. EOCO was represented by the Executive Secretary, Board Secretary, some Heads of Units and selected officers representing various Unit.
