On the 2^nd February, 2018, the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office with its Management and Staff in Collaboration with the Korle- Bu Blood Bank, undertook a Blood Donation Exercise as part of its corporate social responsibility. Turnout of Officers was very encouraging given that it was the first time such an exercise was being organised by the Office. Some members of the press were in attendance and interacted with the Deputy Executive Director in charge of Intelligence, Mr. Walter Amewu, who mentioned that the Office is not only concerned with protecting the public purse and investigating economic and organised crimes for prosecution but also has the welfare of the general public at heart. Thus, the exercise was to compliment the efforts of the Korle- Bu Blood Bank so that they can have enough safe blood to save lives especially that of pregnant women, children with severe anemia and accident victims who may be in dire need of blood.
