DCOP/Dr. Samuel Otu-Nyarko has advised officers of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) to find alternatives for sedentary lifestyle and to take their health matters seriously. He recommended that Officers should include exercises in their lifestyle.

He said this when he met with the Executive Director, Management and Officers of EOCO on Monday, 21st November, 2022 at the Head Office to discuss the topic “ Healthy Living”

According to Dr. Otu-Nyarko current lifestyles are increasing the health risk of people. He advised Officers to have regular checkups to save their lives. He explained that oftentimes diseases like hypertension and diabetes have zero symptoms. He also mentioned that it is very important that patients adhere strictly to drugs that are prescribed to them for a particular health condition because a lot of patients have lost their lives due to this.

Speaking at the programme, the Executive Director, Maame Yaa Tiwaah Addo-Danquah pleaded with Officers to take issues relating to their health seriously. She reiterated the need for regular medical checkups and strict adherence to drugs that are prescribed for them.

The Deputy Executive Director, Operations Nana Antwi expressed the need to have good and trusted friends to confide in, to help cope with stress and other conditions. According to him, such people help reduce burdens and allow one to cope with demands of life.

The Deputy Executive Director, Intelligence and Monitoring, Aba J. Opoku was optimistic that this health talk would go a long way to help Officers stay healthy.
