

As part of the 20 years anniversary reign regional tour, the Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin the overlord of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional area on Friday, 20th September, 2019 personally handed over a twenty (20) acre land to the Executive Director and Management of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
The said land would be used for the construction of a Training School and Academy for the Economic and Organised Crime Office.
At a short handing over ceremony at the site, the Okyenhene Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin told officials of EOCO to expedite action in developing the land to bring development to the people of Nsutam and the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional area.
The Chief of Nsutam, Osabarima Sarpong Kumakuma who spearheaded the acquisition of the land expressed how the chiefs and people of Nsutam cherish this land and added that the youth were ready to provide labour when construction begins.

The Deputy Executive Director of Operations (DED/Ops), Nana Antwi who accepted the land on behalf of the Executive Director and Management of EOCO expressed his gratitude for the kind gesture of Okyenhene and Nananom of Akyem Abuakwa Traditional area. He added that the construction of the Training School and Academy would provide employment opportunities for the resident of Nustam and surrounding communities.
DED/Ops further indicated that the Office would seek funds for the project and engage engineers as soon as possible.
The 20-acre land is part of the reclaimed lands from galamsey operators in Akyem Nustam in the Fanteakwa District of the Eastern Region.
