As part of efforts to link suppliers of goods and services to State Institutions on the Ghana Electronic Procurement System (GHANEPS) platform, the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) on Monday 12th August 2024, organised a one-day training for all its suppliers at the EOCO Head Office in Accra.
In her welcome address, the Executive Director of EOCO, COP Maame Yaa Tiwa Addo Danquah informed attendees that the training will equip suppliers with enough knowledge to enable them utilize the E-digital platform as directed by the Public Procurement Authority (PPA). She added that since systems are dynamic, participants are encouraged to point out any gaps they identify in the GHANEP system for appropriate redress by the PPA.
The Deputy Executive Director in charge of Operations of EOCO; Mr. Abdulai Bashiru Dapilah, in his address added that with the roll-out of the GHANEPS, all crimes associated with Government spending or any crimes that militate against government revenue can be tracked by EOCO for possible investigation in line with the mandate of the Office.
In attendance were the Deputy Executive Director of EOCO/ Intelligence and Monitoring, Madam Jacqueline Aba Opoku, Head of Procurement Unit, Mr. Franklin Nyarko and the training Facilitator from the PPA, Mr. Frederick Frimpong.
