EOCO COLLABORATES WITH QNET TO FIGHT JOB FRAUD AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING
In joint press conference on 15 July, 2025, The Executive Director of EOCO, Mr. Raymond Acher announced a new collaboration with QNET to tackle the growing menace of Job Fraud and Human Trafficking.
This collaboration he mentioned has become necessary because ‘‘EOCO and other law enforcement agencies have been tracking a series of serious organised criminal activities, including cross-border human trafficking, cross-border recruitment scams, and other cross-border financial criminal activities, that have been perpetrated and continue to be perpetrated using the QNET brand.
These crimes have had a devastating impact on our citizens, especially the youth, and it is imperative that we take swift and decisive action to combat them’’.
In addition, Mr Raymond Acher, was grateful to National Security Coordinator for his leadership and continued support in the fight against organised crime. He was also appreciative of the support from the Director General of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), The Director General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, and the Director General of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
QNET on their part, expressed its gratitude to EOCO for the partnership and reiterated its commitment to restoring public trust and holding perpetrators accountable.
